Popping My Blog Cherry

My most recent venture in mixed martial arts journalism has led me to writing daily for http://www.thefightnerd.com/ In the past I have enjoyed working for various websites. Several friends have given me opportunities to author features for their sites. The down side is lack of exposure. I have been able to reach a larger audience with my work for mmaweekly.com but often I am limited to event coverage and interviews. The chance to write features and add substance of my own creation for a well-known, reputable website has been something I have longed for.

The task of producing five pieces of work per week has been slightly more than I anticipated. This, coupled with learning the nuances of a new format have been a bit daunting. Time and experience will rectify this yet I have feared that the quality of my work may suffer initially. Some of my best writing has been done very quickly on short notice. When I do have a mental block I can typically overcome it rather swiftly. This has been an asset but I do not want to rely on it in desperation.

I am unaware of how many views my latest columns have received but I am happy to be affilliated with a reputable site. Below I will post links to my most recent articles. I've had good feedback, primarily on the Ken Florian article. KenFlo apparently enjoyed it because he retweeted the story.
